Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg - National spatial planning programme - 2003 (in French)

Publication date:2013-05-14, Last updated:2013-05-14

This document is Luxembourg’s leading spatial policy instrument. It presents a long-term planning vision, striving for a coherent use of specific policies, in order to avoid unbalanced territorial development. The objectives concerning the urban development are threefold:

    - To develop sustainable urban structures, amongst others through diversification and increasing density of use in urban areas;
    - To develop socially balanced cities offering a high quality of life (preventing and/or reducing social segregation);
    - To stimulate cooperation among municipalities (regional cooperation).

The document is written in French. The summary of the national spatial planning programme in English, German and French is available here.
